Greetings Fairport Cheerleading!
Now that the season has officially ended for JV and Freshman squads and we are quickly approaching the end of the Varsity year, I wanted to send out some information & updates about cheer tumbling at Rochester Gymnastics Academy (RGA).
First, and foremost, as all of your girls have already been reminded…just because the cheer season has ended doesn’t mean that work on tumbling can end --- especially for those girls who are hoping to continue with the program next year! So Sunday morning team tumblingwill continue through the end of the school year (and then, for the summer, it will switch to a weeknight schedule…but that information will not be announced until closer to June).
The beginning of March marked the start of a new session at the gym --- which means that it was time to renew payment/registration. For those of you who have already made contact with the gym re: payment, THANKS!! For everyone else, please either contact the gym asap or send payment with your girls to their next class. On the subject of payment, however, I wanted to let everyone know who hasn’t already spoken to the gym, that the registration for this March/April session is not the standard $100. The amount due for this session for each of the team classes is as follows:
9am Varsity: $50 (the team missed one class in the Feb. session for a fundraiser which is being deducted from the March/April session bill PLUS the varsity class will miss one week for Nationals and one week for the Cheer Banquet on Sunday, March 24th). 10am JV: $75 (the JV group will miss Sunday 3/24 for the Cheer Banquet) 11am Freshman: $75 (the Freshman group will miss Sunday 3/24 for the Cheer Banquet)
A COUPLE IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT THE COSTS/SCHEDULE FOR THIS SESSION: · The above class prices already reflect the classes that we know will be missed for full team events and/or that needed to be credited for team events in the past session (for which the class had already been paid). · The above prices ALSO include a prorating for the classes on Sunday, April 21st. RGA WILL BE CLOSED ON SUNDAY, APRIL 21ST BECAUSE THEY ARE HOSTING A WEEKEND STATE GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIP MEET AT THE GYM...SO THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES ON THAT DAY. · We are aware that this session includes the two Sundays of Spring Break --- There WILL be classes both those Sundays (including Easter Sunday---although we will poll the students in classes and if it seems we’ll have low attendance on Easter we may propose a consolidated class or classes). So girls who are in town should plan on attending class, since these classes are a part of the registration fee for this session. If you are planning on being away for one or both of those Sundays you are still expected to pay for the full session as it is gym policy not to prorate for individual absences or to operate on a “pay as you go” structure----anyone with questions about this should contact the gym directly.
And, finally, I know that many people are wondering when the annual switch over of classes for girls moving up in the program will occur. Class changes will be implemented on Sunday, March 31st (the week after the banquet) --- but specifics about who will move where are still in process. More information on that will be announced at or before the Cheer Banquet on Sunday, March 24th.
Thanks!
Coach Erik
